Los Angeles International Airport was a recurring reference point in criminal and civil testimony about Simpson's travel around June 12, 1994 and related later trips. Limousine driver Allan Park testified about his scheduled 10:45 p.m. pickup at Simpson's house and the timing of the subsequent trip and arrival at the airport; later civil questioning also addressed Simpson preparing for the ride and when the limousine left Rockingham. Simpson testified that, while driving with Robert Kardashian, he suggested retrieving golf clubs when they were near the airport, and lawyers questioned Simpson and Kardashian about that trip. Raymond Kilduff testified that Simpson appeared distraught when Kilduff met him and said he needed to get to the airport. Jim Merrill testified separately that Simpson later called him frantically to return to the airport and pick him up.
