The Simpson Matter is part of the Court Daemon trial archive network, published by Court Daemon and built by Trice Digital. This policy explains what happens to information when you visit thesimpsonmatter.com.
There are no accounts, no logins, no newsletter, and no advertising. Google Analytics cookies are optional. You can turn them off in Cookie preferences. Nothing you do here is sold, rented, or shared with data brokers.
Usage measurement. The site counts visits using privacy-friendly analytics that we run ourselves rather than a commercial advertising platform. It records the page viewed, the referring page, the browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your network connection. It sets no cookie, assigns no persistent identifier, and cannot build a profile of you across other websites. The results are aggregate counts used to understand which parts of the archive are useful and to keep the site working well.
Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits. For visitors in the United States, it is on by default. Elsewhere, it stays off unless you accept. It receives the pages viewed, browser and device details, and an approximate location. Advertising features are disabled. Search terms, form entries, URL query parameters and fragments are not sent to Google. See Google's privacy policy.
Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare's network. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request information, including IP addresses, to deliver pages and to protect the site from abuse and attack. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
What you send us. If you use the "report an issue" link at the bottom of any page, or the message form on the About page, we receive what you type along with the page you were on. The name field is optional and there is no email field. Please do not put sensitive personal information in that box. Reports are read so that the archive can be corrected, and are kept only as long as that is useful.
Courtroom video. Trial days with footage play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, which does not set tracking cookies before you press play. Once video is playing, YouTube receives that request and Google's privacy policy applies to it.
Fonts. The typeface used for transcript text is served by Google Fonts, which receives the request that loads it.
Support link. The About page links to Ko-fi for anyone who wants to support the archive. That is an outside service. If you go there, Ko-fi's policy governs, and no payment is ever processed on this site.
Change your choice at any time in Cookie preferences. Choices you make are saved in your browser for six months on this site. Choosing Reject stops Google Analytics and removes its cookies. It does not delete information already sent to Google. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, Google Analytics stays off. A cookie stores your country and browser privacy setting for 30 minutes to apply these settings.
The archive is a public-record reference and is not directed to children under 13. No information is knowingly collected from them.
