Plaid cap found on driver floor of the Bronco. Catalogued as LAPD Item 27, the cap was tested for blood, transported to the FBI laboratory, and examined by Douglas Deedrick, who found hairs consistent with the defendant inside and cat hair; a single Bronco carpet fiber was also recovered despite the cap's storage in the vehicle.
