in Blue Knit Cap
Knit cap inside Bundy residence, not collected (defense walkthrough)
A dark blue or black knit cap discovered inside Nicole Brown Simpson's Bundy residence—described as located in a hallway box near Sydney's room or a second-floor closet—during the August 27, 1994 defense walkthrough by defense investigator Pavelic and Johnnie Cochran. Detective Lange declined to seize or photograph it and it was never officially booked; defense later argued its existence undermined the evidentiary significance of the cap found at the scene.
