William Hodgman served as a co-lead prosecutor and represented the People during the preliminary hearing and criminal trial. He conducted the direct examination of Dr. Irwin Golden during the preliminary hearing and participated in criminal-trial proceedings concerning evidence, discovery, opening-statement exhibits, and other administrative and motion matters. Hodgman was hospitalized overnight during the January 1995 disputes over alleged defense discovery violations, but the record documents his participation in later proceedings through April 14, 1995.
