Shirley Baker, O.J. Simpson's oldest sister, testified as a defense witness on July 11, 1995. During direct examination by Robert Shapiro, she said she had attended court regularly, was on leave from her job to support her brother, and was staying at O.J. Simpson's house with her husband and several relatives, including her sister Carmelita and Jason, Arnelle, and Paula. She also confirmed that the family received unfortunate news on the night of June 13.
