Marcia Clark completed Dennis Fung's direct examination by establishing that sampled shoe prints along the Bundy trail tested presumptively positive for blood and faded as they continued west. Fung also described receiving and booking reference blood from O.J. Simpson, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ronald Goldman, then identified photographs of the gloves recovered at Rockingham and Bundy.

We were talking about what appeared to be bloody shoe prints.

Right.

On People's 19, I see on photograph 'D' on the steps there are letters 'A-G', '-H', '-I', '-J' through '-O', it appears, on the landing.

Through 'AO', yes.

# 7 Q:

Each of those letters that I just said are proceeded by an 'A'; correct?

# 8 A:

Yes.

# 9 Q:

And what do those letters on that photograph 'D' document?

# 10 A:

Those document shoe prints which were on -- which appeared on the steps.

And did you sample three of those shoe prints as representative samples of them in order to determine whether or not they were indicative of blood?

I did various shoe prints along the trail. I don't recall which ones I did, though, but as far as --

Yes.

-- Were those among the bloody shoe prints that you sampled with the presumptive test for blood?

Yes, they were.

And what result did you obtain?

Those were positive for -- or indicative of the presence of blood.

Why is that?

# 22 A:

The shoe prints got lighter and lighter as they went to the west of the location, so as they got to that point, they were not visible anymore -- any longer.
