Det. Kelly Mulldorfer was called by the defense on July 20, 1995, to expose breakdowns in how the LAPD secured O.J. Simpson's Ford Bronco while it sat at Viertel's impound lot. Her investigation into possible violations of Official Police Garage rules revealed that although a system existed for logging who entered and exited the area where the Bronco was held, it had not been followed — multiple officers and detectives had gone in and out without being recorded, and she was unable to determine who they were.
