Kathleen Kennedy-Powell, a Municipal Court judge, presided over six days of the preliminary hearing from June 30 through July 8, 1994. She handled administrative, in-chambers, sidebar, and motion matters, including limiting the number of hairs collected for testing, establishing evidence logistics, and declining to strike Mr. Camacho's testimony because credibility was for the court to decide. She also presided during examinations of Michele Kestler, Brian "Kato" Kaelin, Allan Park, detectives Mark Fuhrman, Philip Vannatter, and Tom Lange, Dr. Irwin Golden, and Gregory Matheson.
