She pushed back against the government's request to shut down the courtroom feed, arguing that a witness's stated fear for personal safety alone was not sufficient to block public access to what she called "very critical testimony" — and noting that at least one of the Fiatos had already appeared on camera voluntarily for an ABC interview. Judge Ito was unmoved, granting the protective order and cutting all video, audio, and even courtroom sketch coverage for the Fiato testimony, leaving Frederiksen's final request for even altered audio flatly denied.
