Michael Romano was a freelance photographer called by the prosecution on rebuttal to authenticate a photograph he had taken of O.J. Simpson at a football game in Buffalo, New York, on January 15, 1994. Romano had photographed Simpson in the media room after a Raiders-Bills game and sold the image to the National Enquirer — a photo that became significant enough for Marcia Clark to subpoena him to testify about its origins and authenticity.
