Halina Esinski, a Deputy City Attorney, appeared with Michael D. Sullivan as counsel for Mr. Bosco in two shield-law proceedings on July 31 and August 1, 1995. Newly retained, Esinski told Judge Lance A. Ito that counsel had not yet spoken with their client and requested time to confer with him and submit written briefing. She also stated that counsel had not received the article or subpoena involved in the dispute.
