Dominick W. Rubalcava served as personal attorney to Dr. Christian Reichardt, a friend and business associate of O.J. Simpson who had worked on Simpson's exercise video. Rubalcava was present in court when the defense sought to limit the prosecution's cross-examination of Reichardt, a motion that prompted Judge Ito to ask Reichardt to step outside while the lawyers argued over scope. He continued representing Reichardt through the civil depositions in early 1996, shepherding his client through both direct and redirect examination.
