Candace Garvey, a friend of Nicole Brown Simpson, testified as a prosecution witness on February 6, 1995, and underwent direct, cross-, and recross-examination. She said that she attended Sydney's school recital on June 12, 1994, that one of her own children participated, and that she saw the defendant there. She described Simpson as unusually vacant and nonresponsive compared with his normally outgoing manner, and said his stare made her uncomfortable.
