Bernie Douroux worked for Rheuban Motors, an LAPD police impound service, and was called to 360 North Rockingham on the afternoon of June 13, 1994, to retrieve O.J. Simpson's Ford Bronco. Called by prosecutor Christopher Darden to establish the chain of custody for a key piece of physical evidence, his testimony instead became a vulnerability for the prosecution when Johnnie Cochran's cross-examination systematically exposed gaps — revealing that the Bronco had been left unattended near media and that the inventory form had been pre-filled before Douroux even touched the vehicle.
