Afternoon recess

Date: Thursday, September 21, 1995 • Utterances: 9
A brief administrative exchange at the end of a session in which prosecutor Brian Kelberg requests a recess until 3:30 to organize exhibit packets with colleagues Yochelson and Hodgman. Judge Ito grants the recess, also excusing a Mr. Orman since the judge can review the videotapes independently.
1 MR. KELBERG:

Your Honor, I have some exhibits which I've been notified through one of our younger lawyers, Mr. Douglas is going to pose objections to or has posed objections to. But I'm also under instructions from the court to get this packet going. If I may be excused for maybe half an hour to--I'm going upstairs with Mr. Yochelson and Mr. Hodgman, but I've got really the best packet of materials to give the team to get everything together in the format the court wants. If I could be excused to perhaps 3:30 just to make sure everything gets rolling.

2 THE COURT:

3:30.

3 MR. KELBERG:

Thank you, your Honor.

4 THE COURT:

Mr. Orman, I'm going to excuse you because the videotapes I can look at myself.

5 MR. ORMAN:

Okay.

6 THE COURT:

Thank you. We'll be in recess until 3:30.

7 MR. KELBERG:

Your Honor, can I get the instructions, please?

8 THE COURT:

Yes.
