Session closing remarks

Date: Thursday, June 1, 1995 • Utterances: 4
Judge Ito concluded the morning session by dismissing the jury until the following morning. He explained the recess was necessary because the next phase of evidence presentation required parties not available until Friday. The judge delivered his standard admonitions to the jury before adjournment.
1 THE COURT:

All right. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Sims, I think we are finished.

2 MR. SIMS:

Thank you, your Honor.

3 THE COURT:

All right. All right. Ladies and gentlemen, as far as the court session this morning is concerned, we are going to take our recess we are going to shift to a different focus of the evidence, I'm told by the attorneys, shortly, and the parties who are involved in that presentation are not available until tomorrow morning. So we are going to stand in recess, as far as the jury is concerned, until tomorrow morning at nine o'clock. Please remember all of my admonitions. Do not discuss this case amongst yourselves, don't form any opinions about the case, don't conduct any deliberations until the matter has been submitted to you, nor are you to allow anyone to communicate with you with regard to the case. I see jurors mouthing the words with me. Thank you. All right. Just as long as you remember them all. All right. You all have a pleasant evening and we will see you tomorrow morning at nine o'clock. All right. We will stand in recess. Mr. Sims, you may step down.
