Date: Tuesday, July 18, 1995 • Utterances: 2
Judge Ito dismissed the jury for the afternoon at 5:00 PM, instructing them to return at 9:00 AM the following morning. He reminded jurors of his standing admonitions and noted he had matters to take up with counsel after the jury cleared.
1 THE COURT:

All right. Ladies and gentlemen, as far as the jury is concerned, we are going to take our recess for the afternoon. I have a few matters I need to take up with the lawyers. So we're going to stop now at 5:00 o'clock. Please remember all my admonitions to you; don't discuss the case amongst yourselves, form any opinions about the case, conduct any deliberations until the matter has been submitted to you or allow anybody to communicate with you. As far as the jury is concerned, we'll stand in recess until 9:00 o'clock. Mr. Meraz, you're ordered to come back tomorrow morning at 9:00 o'clock. All right. Let's clear the jury, and then we'll resume.
