Jury admonition and adjournment

Date: Monday, August 28, 1995 • Utterances: 2
Judge Ito delivered standard end-of-day admonitions to the jury, instructing them not to discuss the case, form opinions, or allow outside communication. Court then adjourned at 5:20 PM until the following morning, with a brief unreported bench conference on scheduling.
1 THE COURT:

All right. Ladies and gentlemen, we're going to take our recess for the afternoon. Please remember all my admonitions to you; don't discuss the case amongst yourselves, most importantly, don't form any opinions about the case, don't conduct any deliberations until the matter has been submitted to you, don't allow anybody to communicate with you with regard to the case. As far as the jury is concerned, we'll stand in recess. Let me see counsel as far as scheduling is concerned.
