Redirect examination of John Edwards

Witness: Det. John Edwards
Examiner: Dan Leonard
Called by: Defense • Date: Monday, November 18, 1996 • Utterances: 36
Mr. Kelly conducted a brief redirect of Detective Edwards, rehabilitating the supplemental report Edwards had prepared at the city attorney's request. Kelly successfully moved the five-page handwritten report into evidence as Plaintiffs' Exhibit 2192, and elicited that it contained a reference to Nicole's statement about police having responded to the home eight times before.
1 Q:

Detective, Mr. Leonard asked you if you took any photos after you took those three at West LA station. You indicated that you did not; is that correct?

2 A:

That's correct.

3 Q:

Is there a particular reason you did not?

4 A:

Yes. Nicole Simpson insisted that she wanted to go home immediately to her kids, so I did what my victim wanted to do.
