Exhibits received into evidence

Date: Thursday, November 14, 1996 • Utterances: 18
Plaintiff's counsel Tom Lambert moved to admit 12 exhibits into evidence following Dr. Cotton's testimony. Defense counsel Robert Blasier objected to exhibit 2184, a handwritten drawing, but Judge Fujisaki overruled the objection and all 12 exhibits were received.
1 MR. LAMBERT:

Your Honor, before we call the next witness, I'd like to move in the exhibits that I referred to with Dr. Cotton, which are 988, 989, 1034, 1035, 1036, 1037, 1038, 1041, 1043, 2184, 2185, and 1275.

2 MR. BLASIER:

We object to the handwritten one, if that's a -- one of those -- your handwritten drawing.

3 THE COURT:

Which one is that?

4 MR. LAMBERT:

The one that Mr. Blasier was, himself, writing on the board, I object to that. It's irrelevant. It's his own testimony.

KEY QUOTE
5 THE CLERK:

2184, that's the objection.

6 THE COURT:

I think it was in the testimony.

Overruled. It may be received.

Key Quotes (3)

Robert Blasier
We object to the handwritten one, if that's a -- one of those -- your handwritten drawing.
Defense attempted to block a demonstrative exhibit, likely a diagram used during DNA testimony.
Tom Lambert
The one that Mr. Blasier was, himself, writing on the board, I object to that. It's irrelevant. It's his own testimony.
Lambert turned the objection back on Blasier, noting the defense attorney had himself used the drawing during examination.
Hiroshi Fujisaki
I think it was in the testimony. Overruled. It may be received.
Fujisaki's brief ruling admitted the contested exhibit without elaboration.
