Redirect examination of Susan Brockbank

Witness: Susan Brockbank
Examiner: Peter Gelblum
Called by: Plaintiff • Date: Wednesday, December 11, 1996 • Utterances: 14
Mr. Gelblum conducted a brief cross-examination of Ms. Brockbank focused on the integrity of evidence packaging in box number 2, which contained carpet fiber, a cap, and gloves. The witness confirmed that each item was individually wrapped in sealed paper bags or butcher paper, the seals were tight, and there were no gaps that would allow hair or fiber to pass through.
1 MR. GELBLUM:

Just a couple, Your Honor. CROSS-EXAMINATION BY MR. GELBLUM:

2 Q:

In box number 2, where the carpet fiber and the cap and the gloves were found, were stored, were each of those items individually wrapped?

3 A:

Yes, they were.

4 Q:

How were they wrapped?

5 A:

The -- the caps and both of the gloves were each individually wrapped in paper bags, which were folded over and taped closed. And the piece of carpet was wrapped like I said earlier. It was actually folded up, itself, and it was wrapped with butcher paper and sealed with that brown tape that you did see on the box.
